Nigel Crofts

I wrote my first poems at sixteen (found in 'Love, Sadness, Madness and Joy'). I penned my novel, 'Italic Dreams' (abridged as 'Living the Dream') aged nineteen/twenty. My works are fiction, but as all art reflects life, there is an autobiographical element. The human condition being universal (yet subjective), readers should experience empathy, perhaps even recognition, or a unique and personal emotional response. My second novel, 'Bridges', carries on the story of Italic Dreams. A modern romantic fairytale, with elements of the supernatural, tragedy, comedy and poetry. 'Dandelion Meadows' completes the 'dreams trilogy'. An epic poem that takes the tale to a new metaphysical level.
