Danielle Clarke

Hi all, I hope you're having a lovely day; I'm Danielle Clarke, I am fast approaching forty (eeek), and I have two beautiful daughters who are my reasons why in absolutely everything.

I have always loved books and would be called a bookworm by my siblings all the time. I am the kind of person who could disappear into a story for hours, lost in the twists and turns of a great thriller. Writing was always a dream—one I've never quite believed I had the talent for (hello, imposter syndrome!). But when an idea took hold, I knew I had to put it out into the world.

As a mother of two daughters, I am passionate about raising strong, confident young women. I, as a woman, and at one point a young girl, understands how tough it can be for girls and women to navigate life—managing emotions, standing strong in our choices, feeling comfortable in our own bodies, and handling the pressures of peers. Above all, I want my daughters to be proud—of themselves, their family, and the things that make them unique.

These values are at the heart of my writing. Through my stories, I aim to share stories that are relatable, that show representation and create characters that reflect the diverse, complex, and beautiful experiences of life. Because everyone deserves to see themselves in the pages of a book—and to know that their differences are what make them extraordinary.
