I am a science journalist, creative writer (memoir & essays), and author based in the U.S. and Australia. I hold an MFA in nonfiction writing from Columbia University, a BS in Geology and BA in English from Syracuse University. A former geologist, I still pick up rocks wherever I go, and I'm an avid dancer, trail runner, and wild swimmer.
