Jim Lucas

Jim Lucas is a former contributing writer for Surfer Magazine where he formulated then wrote extensively for the short story column Surf Stories. Jim has also been published in Pacific Longboarder Magazine, Longboarder Magazine, Classic Surfboard Collector , USA Wrestling Magazine, as well as The San Francisco Chronicle, The San Jose Mercury News and The Santa Cruz Sentinel.

Jim has published four novels, the most recent MISSION: SHADOW MAN. His three previous novels are the Nick Bridger Stories: Waves Are Calling, Mountains to the East, and Eros Found.

Jim was an accomplished wrestler having been a three-time All PCAA Selection at San Jose State. He went on to become a seven-time National champion and Masters World champion. As a surfer Jim was captain of the Greg Noll surf team placing in numerous contests around the world and served on the Board of Directors for the environmental group Surfrider Foundation. He was a charter inductee into the Ironman Surfing/Wrestling Hall of Fame.

When not writing Jim can be found searching for secluded surf breaks in his 1951 Ford woody wagon.
