Joćo Labareda

Joćo Labareda works at the European Commission as coordinator of the European Innovation Ecosystems work programme. Previously, he was the Chair of the Working Group on EU–EFTA relations at the Council of the European Union and an attaché at the Permanent Representation of Portugal to the European Union. He was also a speechwriter for the European Commissioner for Science, Research, and Innovation and a deputy to the secretary of state to the Prime Minister of Portugal. He holds a PhD in Political Science from the European University Institute.
