Patrick Veiga, born in 1980, holds a PhD in microbiology and is a Research Director at INRAE - National Research Institute for Agriculture, Food and Environment. Passionate about studying the interactions between the gut microbiota and nutrition, he focuses his research on these fundamental relationships and their impact on human health. It was during three years spent at Harvard that he discovered Boston, the cradle of groundbreaking biotechnologies centered on the gut microbiota. Naturally, the city became the main setting of his novel.
