Yuying Tsong PhD

Dr. Yuying Tsong's research and professional activities center on help-seeking and healing, especially in racial/ethnic/sexual/gender/immigrants and other minoritized communities, Asian American mental health, body wellness, and intergenerational care. Trained as a scientist-practitioner, Dr. Tsong’s backgrounds also includes work in University Counseling Center as a staff psychologist, learning disability assessment at University Disability Support Services, and psychological services provider in community mental health. Dr. Tsong has been recognized nationally and on campus for their scholarship and work with students. They are awarded Fellow status by the American Psychological Association, the Society for the Psychology of Women, the Society for the Psychological Study of Culture, Ethnicity, and Race, and the Asian American Psychological Association. Most recently, they received an American Psychological Association Presidential Citation in 2023. Dr. Tsong’s national leadership including serving on the American Psychological Association Board of Convention Affairs and as Past President and the Society for the Psychology of Women.
