Kate Shooltz

Kate Shooltz is a passionate follower of a biophilic lifestyle, one enriched by nature. As the artist Kate the Earthling, she creates with preserved moss and plants, bringing nature into people’s daily lives and facilitating connections to the Earth. With her own personal connection to nature deeply rooted in her childhood, she wanted to write a story for children that would introduce our connection to nature early in their lives. She hopes her young readers come away from her stories feeling a connection to the Earth that stays with them long after the book is closed - fostering a generation to grow up appreciating and advocating for the Earth.
