M.B. Flynn

M.B. Flynn grew up in Pittsfield, Massachusetts – the heart of the beautiful Berkshires. As a third grader, she proudly won her school’s Read-A-Thon and couldn’t wait to pick new books from the Scholastic flyer. Chapter books and anything by Judy Blume were her favorites, sparking a lifelong love of storytelling.

M.B. attended the University of Massachusetts at Amherst before moving to Boston and currently resides in the Detroit area. Along the way, she learned to embrace new beginnings and what it feels like to be “the new kid” many times over—a feeling that inspired parts of Penny Angelo, Girl Guardian.

When she’s not writing, M.B. enjoys traveling with her husband, giving her dog belly rubs, and dreaming up her next story.
