In my day to day, I am a lawyer and entrepreneur. I first conceived the idea for this book in 2003 after the birth of my son. I was motivated by my new role as a father and a desire to leave something enduring behind that would be reflective of my love for my now two children. I was inspired to retell the story of The Three Billy Goats Gruff in a way that departed from the typical "good versus bad.". However, life’s many twists and turns delayed the execution of my idea for nearly two decades. It is with great pride I finally see my vision come to life and I hope that The Friendly Troll will inspire not only children, but also adults who have long put off their creative ambitions.
