Growing up on a farm with a deserted village, Paul Cobb got the history bug early. He found inspiration to write the Book & The Knife series from working with farmers in the ancient landscapes of Kent and Sussex – and a bit in Normandy. Fascinated by the struggle for England around 1066 between the houses of Wessex and Godwin – and the Normans! – Paul thought… what if a centuries old book of knowledge and a foretelling on a knife came into this situation?
