I am drawn to writing short romance novellas. They are often stories which draw from my life experiences and are shaped by my imagination. What the world needs now is love - and I try to shape my life accordingly. Ultimately this is transmitted into my characters as they emerge.

I like to start with an idea, a situation, a context or character and let them evolve - emerge - step onto the stage! The end of the story is not usually in my head when I start writing. It evolves as the characters and context interweave and mesh together. With this in mind, some time ago I wrote a regular blog which freely offered initial ideas for stories under the title of "story starters".

I am greatly encouraged by a writing group to which I belong. They give me gentle feed-back, as well as nudging and motivating me to keep writing.
