My life started in Amsterdam during the devastation of World War II. As a teenager, I worked as a carpenter and studied building engineering. During the seventies, I became a financial manager for a multinational, started my own business, and studied economy. In 1980, I immigrated to New Zealand and obtained a doctorate in psychology. Subsequently, I translated and interpreted Lao Zi’s 2500-years-old Dao De Jing, which means: A Classic about the Physics of Psychology. Lao Zi taught me that balance is the principle of the universe, rather than Newton’s entropy. Humans can only be understood within the context of balance. Manmade extinction problems, such as climate change and nuclear war, disturb that balance and are irrefutable evidence for humanity’s mental failure. Therefore, my mission is making people the best thinkers they can be. For that reason, I developed Nemonik Thinking. Nemonik Thinking is the first Brain-Operating-System ever. It tells the brain how-to-think, rather than what-to-think. It is a systematic and exhaustive tool for problem-solving, risk-management, and decision-making. In 2024, the Secretary-General of the UN, António Guterres, warned humanity that 2050 is the year-of-no-return for climate change. Nemonik Thinking supports Guterres warning. However, it shows also that the analyses of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC-UN) are unreliable, invalid, and incomplete. Humanity is facing simultaneously artificial global warming and natural global cooling. Zero artificial greenhouse-gas policies, could freeze our planet and destroy civilization. That shocking result is ‘Proof of Concept’ for the validity of Nemonik Thinking. Nemonik Thinking is the future. Dr Auke Schade (Psychology PhD, Economics & Statistics MO, Engineering UTS).
