Samantha Roome is a Sober Coach with an ICF-accredited diploma in Positive Psychology and Alcohol-free coaching who diversified from a 20-year career as a chartered accountant when it became her mission to normalise the conversation around alcohol. Having experienced alcoholism in her childhood and navigated her own journey to sobriety in 2020, she brings both professional expertise and profound personal understanding to her work.
Trained by renowned coach Andy Ramage, Samantha is currently pursuing a BACP counselling certification and also volunteers with a local drug and alcohol support service. Her approach combines positive psychology with practical strategies, helping clients retrain their minds and discover the benefits of an alcohol-free lifestyle.
Drawing from her experience as a mother of three, including a child with rare chromosomal disorder, Samantha acknowledges it was a life shift that triggered a change in her alcohol consumption. Her realistic, solution-focused approach helps clients recognise those triggers and patterns in their own drinking.
