R Larry Overstreet

R. Larry Overstreet (M.A., Ph.D., Wayne State University; M.Div., San Francisco Baptist Theological Seminary; B.A., Bob Jones University) served twenty years as pastor of churches in Michigan and Indiana, and also taught at Detroit Baptist Theological Seminary, Grace Theological Seminary, Clearwater Christian College, and retired from Corban University School of Ministry (formerly Northwest Baptist Seminary, Tacoma, WA), where he directed the Doctor of Ministry program and was professor pastoral theology. Larry has been married to the love of his life, Linda, for over sixty-two years, and they are blessed with three children, ten grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. Larry has presented twenty-six papers at annual meetings of professional societies, and is the author of thirty-two articles in professional journals and 244 in various periodicals. He also wrote thirty sets of Sunday School lessons. In addition, he is the author of three books: "Biographical Preaching: Bringing Bible Characters to Life" (translated into Korean), and "Persuasive Preaching: A Biblical and Practical Guide to the Effective Use of Persuasion." His most recent book is: "Psalms for Reading, Preaching and Teaching: Proclaiming and Applying Psalms to Yourself and Others," Volume 1: Psalms 1-41. Larry currently resides with his wife in Winona Lake, IN.
