Gabriella Balcom lives in Texas, works in the mental health field, and writes fantasy, horror, romance, sci-fi, literary fiction, and more. She enjoys Chinese, Italian, and Mexican food, along with lasagna, garlic bread, tacos, and chocolate. She loves reading, scrap-booking, music, her favorite shows, and back roads that lead who-knows-where. Gabriella has had 554 works accepted for publication and was nominated for the Washington Science Fiction Association's Small Press Award. Clarendon House Publications awarded her a publishing contract after one of her stories was voted best in a novel, after which her multi-genre anthology, On the Wings of Ideas, was then released. Gabriella won second place in JayZoMon/Dark Myth Company's 2020 Open Contract Challenge (over a hundred people competed for publishing contracts and cash prizes), and they published her romance, Worth Waiting For. Black Hare Press released her sci-fi novella, The Return, and Dark Myth Publishing published her horror anthology, Down with the Sickness and Other Chilling Tales. Gabriella also self-published a novelette, Free's Tale: No Home at Christmas-time.
