Dr David Baiyeshea

David Baiyeshea, PhD, MCIOB, is a Chartered Construction Manager, project and programme management professional, author and researcher whose career has spanned healthcare, construction, technology, oil and gas, education and the public sector.

With a PhD in Business and Management and extensive experience delivering complex projects and programmes, David writes from the intersection of professional practice, leadership and lived experience. His work explores what it really takes to lead through complexity not only the processes, plans and decisions that shape projects, but also the people, pressures, relationships and responsibilities behind them.

He is the author of Cogs in a Wheel, Managing the Impossible, Beyond the Wheel, and The Weight of the Wheel: A Project Manager’s Imprint. Across his books, David examines leadership, project delivery, resilience, organisational culture, mentorship and the human side of professional life. His writing combines practical experience with reflection, offering insights for project professionals, emerging leaders and anyone interested in navigating responsibility, uncertainty and change with greater purpose.

Beyond project delivery, David has a strong interest in leadership, governance, inclusion, organisational behaviour, research and the development of others.
