Torben Mathiassen

Torben Mathiassen is a Danish author of climate fiction. He is born in 1973 and holds a degree in Master of Science (MSc) in Economics and Business administration from the University of Southern Denmark.

MALI is his debut novel that was released in Denmark in 2022 and was nominated for the Bodil og Jørgen Munch-Christensens Debutant award. It did not win, but it has since recieved many high quality ratings from book bloggers and readers alike, and Danish libraries often promote this particular book, when the topic is climate change.

MALI is the first book in the Victims of Hothouse Earth series on climate change. The second book, 3 degrees celsius, was released in Denmark in 2023 and will be translated into english during 2025. The series is expected to contain seven books, when finished.
