Sally Jane Graham

Sally’s debut chapter book, Milo and the Mouse Pond, was longlisted for the Arnold Bennett Society Book Prize 2024, recognised for its clever blend of storytelling, humour, and educational support. Aimed at children aged 6–10, Milo helps build confidence in spelling and comprehension through lively, character-led adventures.

There are two editions available: one for UK readers, featuring more than 80% of the 100 Key Stage 2 statutory spelling words from the National Curriculum, and one for US readers, based on Fry’s 401–500 sight words. By presenting these words in context, the stories support learning in a fun, natural way.

Sally lives on a small farm in the Staffordshire Moorlands, where the changing seasons - and the occasional grumpy cockerel - inspire her writing. When not crafting stories, she works as a grant writer and enterprise coach, helping charities, CICs, and small nonprofits grow and thrive.

Her next book, the second in the series is called The Frog and the Cow Cats, and is out in the Spring 2026
