Tommaso Rosati

Tommaso Rosati (Prato, 1983) is an Italian electronic composer, performer, and author based between Italy and the United States. He holds degrees with honors in Jazz Drums and Electronic Music from the Conservatory of Florence and is currently a Ph.D. student and lecturer at Indiana University Indianapolis, Department of Music and Arts Technology. His work combines artistic research and pedagogy, focusing on the relationship between body, technology, and sound. He is the author of Play with Sound: Manual for Electronic Musicians and Other Sound Explorers, which introduces music technology through curiosity and creative exploration, covering audio software, acoustics, electroacoustic systems, sound processing, synthesis, and communication protocols. He also develops interactive musical graphics for learning music technologies. His books on electronic music pedagogy are published by Volontè & Co. in Italy and Routledge worldwide.
