Kevin Kane is a husband and father. He served one enlistment in the United States Air Force as a weather observer, and that is where he began creative writing. Over the years, Kevin has written for state governors and judges and in global business as a public affairs expert.
Beast & Burden is Kevin’s second book. He authored On the Bayou in 2017 and gave up creative writing not long after. But his wife brought him back. They often play Scrabble, and the love of putting words together slowly came back to him.
In addition to authoring fiction, Kevin writes for Detroit Jock City and Michigan Sports Media on everything from NFL football to women’s college basketball and fantasy football. You might also find items he’s published in a handful of other places, such as The Unsealed and various news outlets.
Kevin is grounded by his faith, and that is reflected in his writing. In two books now, Kevin has included Bible verses within the pages of the story. His goal is to honor God’s blessings in his life and introduce others to Jesus’ words.
Kevin also seeks to add pieces of his father’s memory in his writing, as well as little things he adores about the loved ones in his life. If you find yourself reading and enjoying a fine detail in the way Kevin wrote something, it is probably something inspired by real life events.
