Ben Maestas

I am an indie author. For over a decade, my body was shutting down from cancer and heart issues. When the cancer was removed in 2021, I faced deep depression, consumed by past traumas and regrets.

During that dark period, I turned to my computer's Notepad files, full of thoughts lost in medical brain fog. I couldn’t change the past, but I could write for the future. It became my bridge back to life.

My books reflect this journey. I began with Aesop’s Adventurers to learn publishing, then turned to philosophy with The Quantum Mind of God, The Divine River, and A Whisper from the Heart of Eternity. Most recently, I channeled my story into The Kingdom of Dandelions.

Today, I live on a tight budget in Mindanao. Whether sharing my painful life story or building the mythic epic world of The Stars of Atlantis, I write to give the thoughts inside my head a permanent home. Like Tolkien and Le Guin, I long to build worlds alive enough to step inside.
