Michael Scot Poirier

Michael Scot Poirier still doesn’t know what he wants to be when he grows up. Educated in the U.S. and Switzerland, he served as an officer in the United States Navy before embarking on a successful career as a biotech executive and entrepreneur. Through it all, Michael has always wanted to write. His first novel, “The Forest of Demons”, draws on his passion for history and his experiences while living in Europe during the Cold War. He speaks several languages, including English, German, Swiss German, French, Swedish, Norwegian and Latin. Born in Frankfurt, Germany and raised in Attleboro, Massachusetts, Michael now lives near San Diego. He is married to Suzanne Delby Poirier and they have 3 children: Nathaniel, Berit and Jared, as well as 2 German Shepherds, Loki and Apollo.
