James Barbour
My name is James Barbour grew up Cheshire, Connecticut in the 1970's. I enjoy nature, outdoor activities and playing sports with my friends. I went to college at Lehigh University in Bethlehem, PA, in the late 1980s and eventually became an entrepreneur. I started an IT Consulting company near Baltimore, Maryland. All this time, eating the Standard American diet without regard or regrets.
And yet, for the last 8 years, I have been trying to understand the events that led to my diagnosis of being prediabetic. All outward signs appeared to be normal; I had a slender build, was a non-smoker, was relatively active in outdoor activities, and happily ate a wide variety of foods.
But little did I know, I had slowly contaminated his body for nearly 5 decades!
I went down the rabbit hole on YouTube researching how to lower my blood sugar without lifelong medications. That is when I found "Carnivore". I devoured all the information that I could find about this "new" way of eating. In all actuality, man had always eaten this way until that last 100 years.
I tested the carnivore "Way Of Eating", WOE, for 90 days. I felt better and my blood sugar actually decreased! I decide to continue and have been on carnivore since November 2023. I felt compelled to write this book to educate people about this WOE and how the current food offerings may be complicit in many health-related factors such as obesity, diabetes, inflammation and much more!
