Del Gibson

Del Gibson lives in Wellington, New Zealand. She is an author of dark paranormal horror fiction, as well as non-fiction works. Her debut book, Mistress of Darkness: Stories of the Macabre (volume 1) was released Friday 13th June 2025. Gibson has 40 short stories published by Reedsy Publishing. Gibson has also had her short horror stories published in 8 horror anthologies, which have been published by Wicked Shadow Press, in both eBook and paperback. Gibson also contributed a short story to, Remains to be Told, published and edited by New Zealand multi-award-winning author and 6-time winner of the Bram Stoker award, Lee Murry. This anthology won the Sir Julius Vogel award for Best Collection in 2024, and which Gibson was nominated for the Sir Julius Vogel award, for Best Short Story. This is available in eBook and paperback. She also has short stories featured in, HORRORific Tales: Hauntings, (Volume 1) which was published in 2024, HORRORific Tales: Cryptids, (Volume 2) and HORRORific Tales: Serial Killers (Volume 3) both published in 2025, and edited by Colin Martin, from HORRORific Publishing. Gibson was a recipient of a scholarship with Storied Imaginarium, run by American author Carina Bissett. Gibson is the executive producer and writer for a short film, Undying Love, released on March 12th, 2025. Gibson also is one of the producers of the feature film, The Actor’s Curse: A Tale of Twisted Fate, which is currently being filmed, by American indie filmmaker Phil Herman. She also enjoys being a film reviewer of horror films (independent and mainstream.)

Gibson has a YouTube channel where you can find all of her film reviews, interviews with people in the independent film horrorsphere, and where she teaches writing tips. Gibson runs a popular Facebook group called, HORROR CENTRAL, where she currently has 44 thousand plus members.
