Karen E. Mueller, DVM

Karen E. Mueller, DVM, is a veterinarian, educator, and author whose work bridges science, storytelling, and the human–animal bond. Growing up in the Pacific Northwest, she developed a fascination with the mysterious, later writing richly illustrated cryptid guides. In her veterinary career, she has advanced animal welfare through high-volume spay/neuter programs and general and chiropractic practice, while also co-creating a website, PetHealthHarbour, for pet owners. Her latest books explore button training, teaching dogs and cats to “talk” and deepening communication between people and pets.
