Dr. Larry Smith is a retired chiropractor turned full-time author and advocate for recovery. After 36 years of practice on Vancouver Island, he now writes books that shine a light on resilience, truth, and the human spirit.

His memoir, Johnnie and Me: Facing the Voice of Alcohol Within, shares his personal journey through addiction and long-term recovery, offering hope and honesty to anyone struggling with alcohol. His forthcoming novel, 2084: The Neuroxone Conspiracy, is a dystopian medical thriller that explores what happens when pharmaceutical power and government compliance overshadow human connection and freedom.

Larry lives in Parksville, B.C., with his L.A.T. partner Laurie and their dog Nena. When he’s not writing, he enjoys long walks, cheering on the Winnipeg Jets, and connecting with his local recovery community.
