Denise B. Carpenter

Pastor Denise B. Carpenter has over 35 years of leadership and ministry experience, serving as a Church Business Administrator, Executive Director, and Consultant for organizations across the U.S. and abroad. She earned certifications in Church Business Administration from Union Presbyterian Seminary and Mental Health First Aid from the National Council for Behavioral Health. In 2005, she co-founded God’s Way Ministries International with her husband, Rev. Timothy W. Carpenter, where she now serves as Executive Pastor. In August 2024, Denise was honored with The President’s Lifetime Achievement Award from President Joseph R. Biden for her lifelong accomplishments and commitment to building a stronger nation through volunteer service.

Denise is passionate about empowering women and developed Esther by Design, a personal development curriculum launched in England in 2004, now thriving across the U.S. She is also an accomplished author with books like Your Journey Through A Personal Spiritual Rehabilitation and It Gets Better, Living an Expectant Life. Married to Timothy since age 19, they cherish their daughters, grandchildren, and extended family.
