Katherine Brady

Katherine Brady is a first time published author. She has been writing since she was a child. Mostly poems for family members and teachers. In her spare time as a child you could find her at the local library where she spent a lot of time reading as much as she could. Some of her teachers told her parents she was an imaginative child who daydreamed too much. Mostly about the stories she read. Of far away places she wanted to visit. Her love of literature has been lifelong. She's always dreamed of writing a book. As a high school student, English classes were her favorite and her English teacher entered her work in a contest and she won. Her teacher thought her essays were better than the book she was writing about. She did not have the opportunity to go to college until she was in her 50's. While in college her children's literature professor told her she had a gift for writing. Her GPA was in the high 300's and her grades were something to be proud of. She has passed her love of reading on to her children and grandchildren. Katherine has also been a fan of American history and enjoys visiting historical sites. Older libraries are a favorite. She also loves long drives with her husband Thomas and getting lost on purpose. You find the most interesting things when you go on an adventure.
