Matthew Sorenson

As an educator, world traveler, and lifelong language learner, I create children's books that spark curiosity about global cultures and inspire young minds to explore our diverse world. My journey has taken me from the United States across South America and Asia to my current home in Australia, each destination deepening my understanding of how to make cultural learning engaging for children.

Drawing from my experiences teaching English internationally and mastering Spanish and Mandarin, I design books that highlight the fascinating, unique, and sometimes quirky aspects of different countries. My stories capture children's imagination through fun facts and cultural insights that make learning feel like an adventure.

While my background began in traditional classroom teaching, I'm now focused on developing educational technology tools that create more effective learning environments and support teachers in their vital work. This blend of global experience, language expertise, and educational innovation shapes every book I write, helping young readers become confident global citizens ready to embark on their own cultural and linguistic journeys.
