Niladri Sarker

Niladri Sarker is a maverick drifter—a self-described "not quite your run-of-the-mill Homo sapiens"—who's dabbled in a bit of everything, stumbled through many of them, hoping he's nailed at least a few.

His early work in collaboration with NASA was on the biosignatures on Saturn’s moon Titan, culminating in the Cassini-Huygens mission.

His wanderlust has taken him to over 100 countries. He has raised awareness of environmental issues by visiting natural wonders, endangered wildlife, indigenous tribes, and vanishing cultures.

He founded TERAVARNA during the pandemic to support the global art community. It has now become one of the world's leading contemporary fine art galleries, supporting artists from 129 countries.

He holds a Ph.D. in chemistry and works as a college professor. He lives outside Los Angeles with his wife and three daughters. His pets have included dogs, cats, rabbits, tortoises, lizards, geckos, hedgehogs, snakes, spiders, tarantulas, and cockroaches.
