Anna Franklin

Professor Anna Franklin is a Developmental and Visual Psychologist and she leads The Sussex Colour Group & Baby Lab at the University of Sussex. Her research identifies how we see and respond to colour, scenes and images throughout development and as adults. Her consultancy has informed the design of professional drama, educational materials and sensory products for babies. She also consults with children’s book publishers on how to tailor the design of baby books to babies’ visual abilities, and has written blogs on baby vision for Scottish Book Trust. One of the books that she has consulted on (Look Touch Learn: Sky, published by Child’s Play International) was a Scottish Book Trust Book Bug selection. She is author of the BabyVision baby board books, published by Child’s Play International, which are designed to tap babies' developing visual skills.
