Jim Combs

Jim had a blessed family life, but the seeds of addiction began taking root at an early age while trying to find acceptance after bullying and peer pressure. After high school, he pursued a college degree in Industrial Engineering. After graduating, he went on to work in various technical fields.

After trying to hide his substance abuse problems and a failed attempt at rehab, he eventually lost everything including money, relationships, and hope. At the height of his addiction, his mother passed away, and he was homeless for a brief period. Reaching rock bottom after a near-fatal overdose, he sought help at a Christian ministry where he spent over a year in recovery. Living at the ministry for 10 years, he gave back by counseling other’s and their families. He eventually became the assistant director and taught many courses including inner healing classes.

Today, Jim continues to live a life of sobriety (one day at a time). He currently works in the IT industry, while continuing to counsel, write, and give back to the community where possible.
