Nawa Raj Subba

Dr. Nawa Raj Subba is a cross-disciplinary author, scholar, and social thinker whose practice brings together literature, cultural studies, social science, and public health. As a PhD and having undertaken rigorous academic research, his intellectual development is informed by a deep-seated interest in the human condition.

His area of research is the oral traditions of the Kirat Limbu community of Nepal, particularly that of the Mundhum and critical matters of the community, including the matters of the state, the individual and social change. He views the neglected stories through a present-day perspective and thus provides fresh opportunities for cultural interaction and consideration.

Being a writer, Dr. Subba creates a fusion of scientific research, philosophic enlightenment, literary richness and anthropology. Academics and general readers appreciate his books, which pose radical questions about justice, meaning, and the human experience.

To him, knowledge is the lifetime search for synthesis amid disciplines. His philosophical thought is based on critical thinking, a moral conscience, and a pluralistic view of the world—which, as he sees it, are essential to dealing with the complexities of the contemporary world.
