Rudd Von Thomas grew up on the Western Slope of Colorado, where the vast landscapes fueled his imagination but reading remained a challenge. As a child who struggled with words, it wasn’t until much later that he discovered the beauty hidden within the pages of books and the incredible worlds waiting to be explored. Falling in love with classical literature, Rudd realized that the timeless lessons in those stories could be reimagined for young readers today.

Inspired by the classics and eager to make them more accessible, Rudd created the Fur, Feathers, and Fables series—a whimsical adventure inspired by beloved tales of the past. His books invite readers aged 7-9 to explore the wonders of classic storytelling through the eyes of a vibrant animal society, hoping to bring the same joy of reading to children that he found years ago.
