Mary Aggas

Hello! I’m Mary Aggas. I grew up in Missouri and I’ve loved horses my entire life! In elementary school I wrote stories about horses all the time. I read every horse book in our town’s library and knew I would write my own book someday! For the past twenty years I have been active with a therapeutic horseback riding center in Arizona. Amazing things happen at our center for people with physical, developmental, and emotional challenges. I wrote Wishes & Whinnies: Tyler’s Dream, a sensitive and uplifting picture book for children of all abilities, to raise awareness of therapeutic riding.

When I'm not writing or helping with therapeutic riding classes or taking our Miniature Horses to visit schools and senior living facilities, I enjoy ringing bells in a church bell choir, reading cozy mysteries, and horseback riding!
