Emil Vassilev, (M.S. in Educational Leadership), is a well-recognized and
respected tennis coach from Richmond, VA. With an outstanding background as
a former Division 1 collegiate tennis player, coach and a tour
player in addition to many years of teaching experience,
Emil brings both his passion and expertise to the court,
helping you believe and achieve!
In 2016, Emil founded the “Emil Tennis Method©” which
is a research-based, tennis movement and footwork
training program. It allows the player to learn better and
faster by applying actual tennis movement patterns in their
game.
Some of Coach Emil’s credentials include being a

in the United States and only a handful of coaches are
invited every year by the USTA, making it a very competitive
selection process. In 2025 Coach Emil led his team the
“Seahawks” to a national title!
Coach Emil’s team won the 2025 Brewer Cup (USTA
