Jaun Labuschagne

Jaun Labuschagne, from the Free State, South Africa, grew up in a charismatic Christian home and attended a Christian school, fostering his love for God and His Word. With over 15 years in ministry, he began as a district pastor planting a church in George and has served as a senior pastor in Bethlehem for the past nine years.

A turning point in Jaun’s life came after reading Clash of the Covenants by Mike Kapler and facing burnout in ministry. Wrestling with the disconnect between Jesus’ promise of an easy yoke and the heavy burdens of religion, Jaun rediscovered the Gospel of grace. This revelation transformed his ministry and inspired him to write this book to help believers break free from striving and embrace God’s grace.

Married to Sarina for nearly 19 years, they have two children, Lukas and Eljeney, and share a vision of planting Christian schools and spreading the message of grace. Jaun is passionate about helping Christians live boldly in the freedom of Christ’s finished work.
