J. L. Kauffman

J.L. Kauffman is a fantasy author, writing coach, and founder of the WriteNow community, where he helps writers finish their books through daily livestream writing sessions.

Kauffman began writing young, completing his first fantasy novel at twelve. He later earned a B.A. in Creative Writing from the University of California, Riverside, studying fiction, screenwriting, and dramatic storytelling. After working as a freelance ghostwriter, he founded The Creative Ghost LLC, providing coaching and editing for emerging authors.

He is the author of *The Last Scarecrow*, the first novel in *A Dawn of Magic* series, developed live across more than 1,000 consecutive writing sessions from idea to publication.

When he isn't writing or helping other authors, he's usually exploring fantasy worlds, dissecting story structure, or reminding writers that finishing the book matters more than perfecting Chapter One.
