Marcos Rodrigues Leal is the son of a teacher, and a dedicated engineer and serial entrepreneur. Leal holds a Master's degree in Business Administration and a Master's in martial arts. He carries an innate passion for learning and transmitting knowledge, and this book directly reflects that commitment to education and innovation.
With over 27 years of global experience in business model innovation, marketing and business strategy, the author specialises in turning complex challenges into strategic solutions using new business models and technologies. His career includes senior strategist positions for Brazil, Latin America, Europe and Global at companies such as Dow Chemical, General Electric and Abbott, where he developed innovations that generated millions in profits and launched products that today generate billions of dollars in annual revenue.
He currently co-leads KOMPASSIUM, a global network of executives dedicated to the revival of entrepreneurship and innovation, helping companies across industries and regions with innovative consulting or advisory approaches.
In addition to his corporate work, the author is a dedicated mentor and startup accelerator, having guided hundreds of startups through programmes such as Techstars and Startup Bootcamp. His mission is to promote innovation and sustainability, believing in the impact of both global efforts and transformative local actions. He has also dedicated himself to disseminating knowledge on the education of highly gifted children, inspired by the challenges posed by his two kids, members of MENSA International.
The author holds a bachelor's and master's degree from the University of São Paulo (USP), as well as executive programmes at UC Berkeley, Harvard Business School and MIT. His continuous pursuit of knowledge has led him to lecture at renowned institutions such as Columbia, UC Berkeley, Kellogg, USP, the Federal University of São Carlos and Insper.
