Originally from the Dominican Republic, Rodrigo Altamar has always been inspired by positive island vibes, strong family ties, and a deep love for the ocean and its creatures. Raised in New England alongside his sister, parents, and a close-knit extended family—including his grandmother, aunts, uncles, and cousins—Rodrigo grew up cherishing the joys of family. For him, these bonds were always expressed through incredible food, music, dancing, and laughter.
Now 37 years old, Rodrigo still calls New England home, where he lives with the love of his life and their two dogs. He continues to enjoy the same traditions and is grateful to have his niece and nephew nearby, creating new memories together.
Writing ABCs of Happy Living was an exciting and meaningful journey for Rodrigo. The book gave him a chance to express what happy living means to him and how he shares that joy with his loved ones. He hopes readers will find it as enlightening, heartfelt, and fun as he does.
