ABOUT DUSTY MYSEN
Born on August 1, 1973, in Muskegon, Michigan, Dusty Mysen
grew up surrounded by his family and friends along the shores of
Lake Michigan. He graduated from Michigan State University in
1995 with a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering. Following
college, Dusty embarked on a fulfilling career spanning various
roles within the automotive industry. Dusty has always been deeply
rooted in family values. Together with his wife, Katie, they have
raised four wonderful children: Tristen, Landon, Parker, and Grady.
In September 2020, at the age of forty-seven, Dusty’s life took
an unexpected turn with a diagnosis of pancreatic cancer. This pro-
found battle not only tested his resilience but also transformed him
into a better person. His memoir, a testament to his journey and
the challenges he faced, is his first literary endeavor, offering readers
an intimate glimpse into his fight against cancer and the lessons
learned along the way.
