Joe Henson

After 32 years serving as a Missionary Pastor in the western Pacific, Joe Henson returned to the United States and noticed something unexpected: a deep sense of discouragement and hopelessness—even among believers.

Where was the hope that used to define the church? How could he help restore courage to the discouraged and point truth-seekers toward Christ?

These questions led to "The Dawn of Hope," the first book in a trilogy that explores the life-changing power of the Gospel through the seasons of the Christian calendar.

Joe brings four decades of ministry experience to his writing, including seven years as a Youth Pastor and 32 years in missions. He holds a B.A. in Bible from Bob Jones University, an M.M. in Pastoral Ministry from Northland Baptist Bible College, and an honorary Doctor of Divinity from Bob Jones University.

Joe's writing reflects his belief that the great truths of Scripture come alive when they connect with real life. His devotionals blend biblical accuracy with storytelling, inviting readers to step into familiar passages and experience them with fresh eyes.

Now settled in North Carolina with his wife and their dog, Joe writes to encourage believers, equip churches, and invite seekers to discover the hope found in Jesus Christ.
