James Coverley

James Coverley writes books about Romans and when he's not doing that, he teaches people about Romans He studied Romans at The Open University after seeing some Romans, or people doing Roman things, near somewhere Roman, when he was a kid and thought "That looks cool!"

James thinks writing books in an academic style is enormous fun, because he's a Very Good Boy and doesn't want other academics to laugh at him, but he also thinks that the avid enthusiast reader might rather enjoy something less formal. Like a chat about those Romans, whilst sitting next to a roaring fireplace, drinking a cracking bottle of Scotch and laughing about it.
