I wrote and maintain the Internet's largest site about the event, aColumbineSite, established April 21, 1999. In one year, the site sees over 1,000,000 visitors and is available free anyone to use worldwide. I have spent the past 25 years researching and writing about Columbine.

In addition to being credited by amazing authors in several best-selling books about Columbine, my writing has been referenced by Columbine families and by law enforcement and EMS for their official disaster-readiness plans in the USA, Australia, Malaysia, and more. I've assisted journalists, teachers, students, authors, playwrights, and film directors with their Columbine projects. I've also spoken at events and appeared in short educational films about the subject. This is my fourth nonfiction book and my second book about Columbine.

I am a member of the AFI and the Clara Barton Society, and an active member of charity groups that work with survivors of trauma and abuse. I've volunteered at police and school events for over 20 years, including helping the Crimes Against Children division of my local police department. In 2009, the Fort Wayne police department honored me with a certificate of appreciation for assisting them in developing their crisis training program.

In 2023, I earned an associate's degree in arts with emphasis on film and forensic science. I am currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in journalism.
