Edwin Thompson

Edwin E. Thompson is an experienced, well-educated professional with an extensive career in state government and in automotive, financial, and insurance adjusting services. He graduated from Florida A&M University with a BS in Engineering and holds an MBA in Information Technology from the University of Phoenix, as well as a private pilot's license, in addition to his professional credentials. Edwin is a retired engineer from General Motors Corporation and the State of Michigan. He has a strong passion for writing and sharing knowledge. He is the author of three books: "Refocusing The African American Dream," "Refocusing The Relationship," and "The Economic Engine of A Market Economy." Despite many accomplishments, Edwin is the iconic founder and creator of the Smooth Gentlemen of Michigan organization. He has been active in local and county politics. He has sought public office three times for the Lansing City Council and the Michigan Ingham County Board of Commissioners.
