Timothy Mills Dooley

Tim Dooley's interest in 19th century science fiction goes back to the late 1950's after seeing the movie "The Fabulous World of Jules Verne". During the 70's and 80's, he illustrated fantasy machines that included airships, land steamers, flying machines, submarine steamships, off-world cities, planetary and interstellar spacecraft. In 1986 these drawings created an opportunity for him to work as a designer in the aerospace industry. In 1994, his drawings caught the attention of the woman who later became his wife. In 1997, one of his airship drawings was published in the Orange County Register's Focus on Science page. In 2003, he started creating scratch-built models of his own designs for what he called "The Jules Verne Room". Over the years he posted illustrated stories all of which were based on an alternate steampunk timeline and is now in the process of converting those stories into semi-graphic books.
