Robert “Bobby” Plagmann is learning to live in the spaces where chaos dances with clarity. A former Judge Advocate attorney, after 18 years serving in the United States Marine Corps, Bobby emerged through countless trials and tragedies to spend the rest of his life looking for love and truth in all its forms. Now, navigating the challenges of beginning a new career in medicine, Bobby embraces his identity as a self-proclaimed dharma bum, unraveling the complexities of humanity one heartbeat at a time. Bobby learned to use writing to both heal, and to communicate with himself and the world around him, while recovering from years of trauma and wandering. Now, dedicated to human connection and service, Bobby uses his passion for travel and cultural exploration to help rewire his perceptions and cultivate a deeper kindness towards himself and everyone along the way. He currently lives in Burlington North Carolina with wife, Shaifali, and his two pit bulls, Baagh and Alcy. Bobby is a full time student in Elon University’s School of Health Sciences Physician Assistant program.
