Percy Yates

Percy Yates is my father, and the books 'Life in the Jumbles' and 'Air Sea Rescue Radio Waves' are a collection of notes he made about his life from 1915 to 1970 edited into an interesting account of life at that time. Percy was born into a close knit working class mining family in the terraced streets of Bolton and these stories provide an interesting insight into working class life in between the war years and his subsequent military service. After the war Percy raised his 3 sons in a council house working as a transport driver for a local company in Bolton. Thank you for your interest - David
