Norman Miller

After growing up in four very different countries, Norman is now an award-winning journalist and broadcaster covering diverse topics for major outlets including the BBC, The Times and The Guardian, as well as leading specialist titles from World of Interiors to New Scientist. He is also a published and performed poet, playwright and story writer. He has lived in Sussex for two decades after deciding it was far more enjoyable than living in London.

His 2024 book - 111 Places in Chichester and West Sussex That You Shouldn't Miss - was described by Sussex Life magazine (November 2024) as "an entertaining and remarkably informative tour of the area that is perfect for residents and visitors alike", and is now set for an updated 2nd edition.

Norman's new book in this best-selling series switches the focus to East Sussex with 111 Places in Hastings & Rye That You Shouldn't Miss - scheduled for publication in spring 2026. He also co-authored the 2014 BBC series book Plants: From Roots to Riches, and the 2012 photography book London: The Panoramas.
